Complete house wiring

Complete wiring means all cabling from the fuse box to every end point: every socket, switch and light point in the home. Think about wiring for the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, hallway, loft and outdoors, plus dedicated circuits for heavy appliances such as the hob, oven, washing machine and tumble dryer.

A new or heavier fuse box is often part of it too, plus, if you want it, data and network cabling for internet and television. We label every circuit, connect everything up and test the complete installation before handing over. That gives you a home that is safely and clearly wired from front to back.

For a new build we lay the wiring in open walls and floors, before the plasterer arrives. That goes quickly and neatly, which is why new-build wiring is less expensive per square metre. Allow roughly € 25 to € 40 per m².

In an existing home there is more work involved. The old installation has to come out, we chase slots, cut channels and make good afterwards. That demolition, chasing and reinstatement work makes renovation more expensive, even if the number of connection points is the same. For new builds and renovations we fit into your build programme. We co-ordinate with your builder, plasterer and other trades so the wiring is ready at the right moment and the build does not get held up. If you have an electrical drawing from the architect or builder, we work neatly to that.

All wiring is installed to NEN 1010, the standard for safe domestic electrical installations. We measure and test the installation throughout and hand it over tested. That is not a formality: it is the proof that your home is safely wired, and it counts if your insurer ever looks at the installation.
